FLOWLINE ALASKA INC. RECEIVES SUPPLIER RECOGNITION AWARD FROM
Fairbanks, Alaska – Flowline Alaska, Inc. (“Flowline”) was recently recognized by ConocoPhillips as part of its Supplier Recognition Award program. The award honors companies that exhibit exceptional leadership that supports the long-term health of the company, the environment and the communities where ConocoPhillips operates.
After ConocoPhillips Alaska (COPA) received pipe from a supplier that did not meet COPA technical specifications, Flowline managed the testing and disposal of the out-of-spec pipe, and provided critical jointing, coating, and insulating support to install the replacement pipe under an extremely tight timeline. By meeting the aggressive deadline, ConocoPhillips avoided a one-year delay in major project startups (CD-5 and DS-2S). As the primary supplier for line-pipe services for the North Slope, Flowline has worked exceptionally well with the COPA team and been instrumental to the success of new pipeline projects and the pipeline integrity program. For these efforts, Flowline received the “Teamwork” award.
Recipient companies were nominated by ConocoPhillips’ global business unit leadership, with winners chosen by a global cross-functional committee, including senior management. Flowline was nominated by the Alaska business unit.
“Flowline’s philosophy is to provide on-time solutions with the highest quality manufactured products and services to companies developing the North Slope,” said Richard Schok, President, Flowline Alaska, Inc. “We appreciate the recognition of our team, the men and women who work hard to ensure the quality of our products and services. We are extremely happy to be recognized by ConocoPhillips Alaska as fulfilling that purpose with such a prestigious award.”
ConocoPhillips will present Flowline with the award on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at 11:30 a.m. at Flowline’s office located at 1881 Livengood, Fairbanks, AK 99701.
