Nance Larsen joining Carlile as the Director of Communications and Marketing

[Anchorage] On November 17, 2014 Carlile Transportation Systems will include Nance Larsen as the corporate director of communications and marketing. Larsen will be reporting directly to Ron Kieswether, president, and her primary responsibility will be managing and planning the communications and marketing strategy for Carlile from the Anchorage office.

Larsen brings an extensive resume of experience to Carlile that includes developing numerous public relations and fundraising campaigns and communication plans for several industry sectors including, mining, travel and tourism, government and non-profit groups. She has more than 30 years’ experience in communications, marketing, public relations and advertising.

She received her BA in Journalism from Arizona State University. In her free time she enjoys music, running, theater, softball, and volunteering for the Special Olympics and Breast Cancer awareness programs.

Carlile Transportation Systems (Carlile) was founded in 1980 by brothers John and Harry McDonald and has grown from two tractors to one of Alaska’s largest trucking companies. Today, with more than 350 tractors, Carlile offers a full range of transportation and logistics services. Carlile is based in Anchorage, AK and employs 700 people.  Carlile’s wholly owned terminals serve Alaska from Anchorage, Fairbanks, Kenai, Kodiak, Prudhoe Bay and Seward, as well as Seattle, WA; Houston, TX; Blaine, MN; and Edmonton, AB. Carlile is part of the Saltchuk family of companies. Saltchuk is a family-owned, diversified transportation and distribution company located in Seattle, Washington.
