Alaska lost a wonderful man with the passing of Maynard Tapp on September 12, 2017.
Maynard was a beloved and faithful member of the Alliance Board of Directors, being the first to attain Emeriti status without having served as President of the Board. His generosity and sense of humor will be fondly remembered by the Board and staff of the Alliance.
More from Maynard’s colleagues at Hawk:
Maynard founded Hawk in 1985 and was a prominent figure in the Alaskan business community. His tireless support of the Alaska oil, gas and energy industry coupled with his passion for community engagement will be difficult to replace. At his core, Maynard was a people person – helping hundreds secure employment over the course of his career. His genuine concern for the well-being of everyone he met – employees, clients, suppliers, and colleagues – was legendary.
Maynard was a good friend and a caring and ethical business partner. We will miss his smile and wise counsel.
A memorial service is planned for 3:00 PM on October 15th at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium on the campus of University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA). Please refer to the obituary for additional information.
