Supporting Alaska’s energy and resource extraction industries, Crowley’s project management organization (PMOrg) provides turnkey marine solutions for multifaceted marine and offshore construction-related projects. In 2013 Crowley and Bowhead Transport Company, LLC, formed a joint venture to provide marine services in Alaska’s Arctic.
Crowley supports the energy industry on the North Slope with summer tug-and-barge sealifts of large production modules and various marine transportation services. In Valdez, Crowley provides tanker escort and docking services in Valdez Harbor and Prince William Sound for Alyeska Pipeline Service Company’s Ship Escort/Response Vessel System (SERVS), utilizing some of the world’s most powerful, technologically advanced tugboats.
